Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if my AC part is on backorder in Houston?
If your HVAC part is on backorder, you’re not alone—this is common in Houston during peak summer, especially after storms or grid events when demand spikes across the area. Replacement parts for modern or high-efficiency systems can take 10 to 14 days to arrive. In the meantime, a portable AC rental can provide temporary cooling, helping you stay comfortable while waiting for repairs without rushing into a costly full system replacement.
How quickly can you provide emergency AC rentals in Houston for apartments or commercial properties?
We provide 24/7 emergency portable AC rentals across the Houston metro and can typically have units on-site within 90 minutes. This is especially important for apartment communities, HOAs, and commercial properties managing multiple residents or tenants. For Harris County property managers enrolled in our First Call Partner program, priority response is available during peak summer and storm-related outages. We can deploy multiple units for common areas, hallways, and individual units as needed.
Should HVAC contractors offer temporary AC solutions when systems are down?
When a customer’s AC fails, offering a temporary cooling solution like a portable AC rental helps keep them comfortable while they wait for repairs. This reduces the risk of losing the job to another contractor and helps maintain customer trust. Partnering with a rental provider ensures your customers have a reliable short-term solution without disrupting your schedule.
Are portable AC rental technicians background-checked in Houston?
Yes. Every Rescue Cooling Rentals technician is background-checked before entering a customer’s home. Our Houston team arrives in uniform and in a branded Rescue Cooling vehicle, so you know exactly who’s pulling into the driveway. When your AC is out and you’re letting someone into your home on short notice during a stressful week, that matters.
